Founded in London & New York by its Creative Director Katie Harbison and Commercial Director James Christian, Katie Harbison Design offers Interior Design services across private residential and development projects, with a portfolio of new builds and renovations. Since its inception, from a kitchen table in London in 2021, Katie Harbison Design has been approached for and appointed on projects across the globe, including the UK, Europe, North America, & Asia.
The Studio’s ethos is to create timeless spaces that enhance the building’s architectural character into the interiors, complementing and elevating the original fabric with beautiful interiors that accommodate the needs of the Client. This is translated into each project through a strong emphasis on materiality, craftsmanship and form, resulting in consistently unique spaces.
Originally from Ireland, Katie studied Interior Design in Dublin before moving to New York where she started her professional career. After furthering her experience in London, she achieved her Masters in Florence, and has since held positions in London at internationally renowned studios, gaining extensive experience designing prestigious projects across Europe, North America and the Middle East.
Katie has developed a distinct aesthetic which combines modern with classical. Her understated designs harmonise contemporary pieces with traditional materials and antiques to achieve timeless, inviting environments that do not compromise on function.
Katie naturally builds close relationships with clients and this forms a basis for understanding how they use each space, and translating their personality and ideas into reality. She facilitates this through her absolute dedication, attention to detail and technical understanding.
